Rental Policy

Last Updated: October 2026

1. Handover & Return Protocol

Vehicles must be collected and returned at the designated Orbit Hub station specified during reservation. During handover, the station executive and customer conduct a joint digital inspection logging odometer reading, battery percentage, and existing scratches via the app.

2. Distance Allowance & Extra Kilometre Charges

Each rental includes a designated kilometre allowance specified on your plan (e.g. 200 km/day for scooters, 300 km/day for cars). Any excess distance traversed is billed at the extra KM rate (₹3/km for scooters, ₹9/km for cars) upon return inspection.

3. Battery State of Charge (SoC) at Return

Customers receive the EV with at least 90–100% battery SoC. It is expected that vehicles are returned with a minimum of 15% battery to prevent deep-discharge cell degradation. If returned below 15%, a nominal deep-discharge handling fee of ₹150 applies.

4. Rental Extensions

Extensions must be requested via the Customer Web Panel or Mobile App at least 2 hours before the scheduled return time, subject to vehicle availability. Overstay without extension will incur the standard hourly rate plus an unauthorized delay charge.

5. Traffic Citations & Fines

Any traffic challans, parking violations, or toll evasion penalties incurred during the rental window remain the sole legal and financial liability of the renter.
